Arun Gupta has been re-elected as the new president of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) as the majority of his team has managed to retain their positions, barring Gaurav Gupta who choose to remain out of the fray this time. Manish Gupta was elected as secretary general.
The elections for the office bearers of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry were held at Royal Park, Greater Kailash, Jammu today under the supervision of Shiv Partap Gupta, Election President along with Vijay Gupta, Manmohan Singh, Kulbhushan Gupta, and Anil Gupta. Total 2687 votes were polled today.
The two times former secretary general of JCCI, Arun Gupta was elected as Chamber president. He secured 1522 votes and defeated his only rival and former president Rakesh Gupta (1148 votes). 17 votes were found invalid.
Anil Gupta has also been re-elected as senior vice president. He secured 1697 votes and defeated his rivals, Surinder Mahajan and Rajinder Kr. Gupta who managed 222 and 116 votes respectively.
Rajeev Gupta (Kaka) secured 1632 votes and was also reelected as junior vice president. He defeated Ashu Gupta, who grabbed 1017 votes.
Manish Gupta has been elected as the new secretary-general of JCCI. He secured 1467 votes and defeated his two rivals-Ajay Langar (183 votes) and Deepak Aggarwal (1013).
Rajesh Gupta two has been reelected as secretary. He secured 1291 votes and defeated Raj Gupta (847 votes) and Mukesh Gupta(513 votes( while Rajesh Gupta who secured 1747 votes was elected as Treasurer. He defeated Manik Gupta who got 926 votes.
